Homepage templates

Two homepage templates

There are two standard homepage templates. If these templates do not suit your project you can create your own homepage design using the available components. Both templates include:

Homepage with hero section

As well as the components mentioned above, this template has a large area under the application navigation called the hero section.

The hero section is designed to quickly capture the attention of the visitor and communicate the most important message or value proposition of the product. This template is useful for products that have a primary function that you want to make sure the user is aware of or is the primary purpose of the application. The hero section usually includes:

  • a concise and compelling headline
  • a succinct explanation of what you have to offer
  • what action they should take next, using a call to action button or link

Beneath the hero section are cards with graphics that link to other important sections of your product.

Homepage simple

This template has a small header area and cards that link to key content/features or functions of the product. It should be used when you do not have one primary feature and function that you want to highlight. The order of the cards are prioritised by which feature or function is the most used. Or alternatively by the order you want users to work through the product.

Card graphics

Each card includes a graphic. These should follow the application graphics style.
